Nova Scotia bound

One more note on the NFL ferry--. the following day after we caught it, it was cancelled due to high winds, so we were fortunate to get going when we did.

We spent three nights in Dartmouth which is just across the bridge from Halifax. We stayed in a great place with TransCanada walking trails and meandering roads with autumn touched trees shading them. We went for a drive down Waverly road and viewed some beautiful properties along the lakes. The prices aren’t outrageous either. Jack and I both like this location.

Had a great hot turkey sandwich for thanksgiving at the local bar and grill. The only thing missing was pumpkin pie. We even had cranberry served in those little Kraft packages. We totally enjoyed our pub dinner. The weather was great and of course that added to our enjoyment of the day.

The next day we took a short “walk on” ferry and hung out on the Wharf in downtown Halifax. We visited the Alexander Keith’s beer emporium where we imbibed two pints of the finest while we were entertained by young folk acting out the story of the Beer giant and Halifax.

Kit also liked the campground… so he took a three hour hiatus and watched us from the bushes as we looked everywhere for him…da Brat.
